Forum Okrętów Wojennych

Okręt po lewej to trójpokładowiec „Hibernia” typu „Caledonia” (pierwotnie 110-działowy, potem 120-działowy, od 1845 r. - 104-działowy). Od 13.12.1856 (do 1902 r.!) pełnił na Malcie funkcję stacjonarnego okrętu flagowego admirała superintendenta. Pozostałe jednostki (co najmniej jedna fregata – ta po prawej) i dwie fregaty albo korwety/slupy (te w środku) są najwyraźniej w aktywnej służbie – świadczy o tym takielunek.

Może to nie do końca port, ale fortyfikacje bazy morskiej - konkretnie Port Artura. Moim zdaniem arcyciekawe zdjęcia wykonane w latach 50 (lub koniec 40). Armat na fortyfikacjach już nie ma, ale same umocnienia są dobrze zachowane.

It is an ideal view of the Training Squad before the Spanish-American War of 1898, since the represented ships never sailed together.
To the left the Battleship Pelayo with insignia, followed by the cruisers Cristóbal Colón, Infanta María Teresa and Alfonso XIII; to the right, the cruise ship Carlos V with insignia, Oquendo and Vizcaya. On the starboard side of the Pelayo sails the Torpedo-gunboat Destructor, two Terror-class torpedo boats sail on the bows of the Carlos V.
