Znowu dwa duże masowce na mieliżnie u wybrzeży japońskich

Post autor: Piotr S. »

Co najciekawsze ,że oba statki wylądowały na mieliżnie w pobliżu tego samego portu Kashima ,oba statki to dwa duże nowe masowce przypomne ,że nie tak dawno u wybrzeży japoni przełamał się masowiec 200 tyś dwt GIANT STEP http://www.cbn.co/CBNnews/46333.aspx "Salvage operations to save two capesize bulkers which grounded close to each other near the Japanese port of Kashima are to start shortly.

There are reports that the 175,000-dwt OCEAN VICTORY (built 2005) may have been holed as water ingress is reported, but no bunker oil appears to have leaked out.

The hull of the 171,000-dwt ELLIDA ACE(built 1996) appears to have withstood the grounding.

The 44 seafarers aboard both vessels were lifted to safety by Japanese Coast Guard helicopters after the vessels ran aground during storms.

The Ocean Victory which is part of the Ocean Longevity fleet had been discharging a cargo of iron ore at the port of Kashima but headed for open waters because of the approaching storm.

The Ellida Ace, managed by Santoku Senpaku, was heading for Kashima with a full cargo of Canadian coal."
