Amongst the many HMS
KANGAROOs was an armed brig that took convicts, and a
few other passengers, to Australia in 1813-1814:
2/6/1813 sailed UK [Deptford or Portsmouth?]
20/8-20/9/1813 at Rio de Janeiro being recaulked
called Cape Town for water and provisions
10/1/1814 arrived Sydney
She apparently stayed in Autralian waters until 1/1817, apart from a
trooping voyage to Ceylon in 1815-1816.
TNA ADM 30/49 & 50 appear to refer to this vessel.
